• 1989 – 1990 and 1993 – 1995 Distance learning studies in business administration specializing in accounting, taxes and auditing at the Hochschule für Berufstätige in Rendsburg, degree: Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH)
• 1995 – 1997 Studied law at the University of Marburg and Justus Liebig University Giessen, graduating with the first state examination in law as a trainee lawyer.
