Cooperation with the Grauthoff door group
The Grauthoff Door Group, based in Rietberg-Mastholte, is one of the leading manufacturers in the door industry with around 700 employees and four production sites equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities. Grauthoff trains its young talent in dual study programs such as business administration, applied computer science and business informatics at the FHDW in Bielefeld and Paderborn in Bielefeld and Paderborn.

The training of young talent and the transfer of knowledge have always been important to the family business. The cooperation between Grauthoff and the University of Applied Sciences has existed since 2004. During the practical phases at Grauthoff, students work in teams on various projects. They develop independent concepts in both the technical and commercial areas.
Managing Director Ulf Morfeld (MBA) emphasizes: “The cooperation with the FHDW has clearly proven itself for us. The mix of practical and theoretical phases in particular makes the cooperation attractive for us and makes it much easier for students to start their careers.” In principle, the company pays the tuition fees for all participants in the dual study programs with the aim of taking them on after they have successfully completed their studies. In essence, the students are part of the medium-sized family business from the very beginning.
