Cooperation with Ehreshoven Abbey
For a long time, Ehreshoven Abbey was “just” a traditional forestry business with numerous historical properties. It has been managing around 1,500 hectares of forest for 100 years, maintains Ehreshoven Castle and several old estates and currently employs 25 people.
In addition to the continuing forestry as a so-called “primary production”, the monastery has professionally expanded the “event” pillar as a business area for almost 20 years. In Ehreshoven, for example, people like to celebrate weddings extensively, various corporate events of all kinds take place, and cars can also be driven in the forest and on our own off-road training track in an exciting – but always safe – manner. And last but not least, many a murderer has hidden his corpse(s) in the woods (only as part of various film projects, of course). How good that Semir from “Alarm for Cobra 11” is usually not too far away).
Why choose Ehreshoven Abbey as a practical partner for your dual study program?
Ehreshoven Castle has been home to a ladies’ convent since 1923. It was the will of the deceased and last owner, Countess Marie von Nesselrode, that Ehreshoven Castle should become a new home for ladies in need through no fault of their own. Every day, the staff dedicate their work with diligence and enthusiasm to caring for the ladies, who are allowed to live in the monastery for the rest of their lives, and to preserving the magnificent castle as their home in accordance with its listed status.
