BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft is the parent company of the BPW Group. With more than 1,600 employees, including around 120 trainees, the family-owned company has been developing and producing complete running gear systems for truck trailers and semi-trailers at its headquarters in Wiehl since 1898. Combining training and studies at BPW
The dual study program lasts 3.5 years. The special thing about BPW is that you acquire a double degree, as you complete an IHK-certified vocational training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) alongside your studies in business informatics. Alternating between your vocational training at BPW and your studies at the FHDW in Bergisch Gladbach you will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the current processes in the specialist departments. In cooperation with the specialist departments, you will plan improvements to the processes and design applications for them, as well as learning how to carry out projects methodically. Time management and the coordination of internal and external resources are also key elements of your professional training. The focus is on a high level of practical orientation, progressive forms of teaching and learning, interdisciplinary events and a personal atmosphere between students and lecturers. During your training at BPW, you will work in all IT departments. This will also give you a complete overview of IT processes and equip you for a challenging and interesting career.
