For 30 years, the Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) has been a state-recognized and economically independent university of applied sciences.
Education partner. As a career-oriented university, we offer our students and partner companies market-oriented
and contemporary know-how in the fields of business administration and business informatics. We pursue a strategy of
sustainable customer partnership, which is characterized by trust and a high level of service orientation towards students
and companies. At the earliest possible date, the FHDW will fill two W3 positions at the Paderborn and Bielefeld locations.
Professorships in the fields of Embedded Systems and Software Engineering.

Your profile
- High level of technical expertise in at least three of the following areas: software engineering, embedded systems, programming / agile coding, cloud technologies, software design, software architecture, data science, cyber security, machine learning
- At least five years of professional experience, including three years outside the university sector
- Doctorate and pedagogical aptitude
- Willingness to take on courses in basic subjects such as business informatics, programming, algorithms and data structures, databases, statistics, mathematics, operating systems, networks
- Willingness to take on responsibility, e.g. by leading a study program or a research project
- Residence in East Westphalia
Notes on the application procedure

Alternatively, we use the option of telephone or video interviews. The provisions of the Higher Education Act apply to your appointment as a professor NRW.
