Courses with university certificate

The FHDW certificate studies are further training courses in which employees can gain a specific qualification in one subject/module in just two to three months while working. Participants take an examination at the end of the specialist module and receive a certificate with corresponding credit points (ECTS points). The ECTS points can be credited towards a subsequent university degree course.

Topic-specific courses

Modules on a selected topic. You can complete this in just two to three months while working. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Gauselmann Group intensifies cooperation with the FHDW

Practice meets science

The initiator of the institute on the part of the Gauselmann Group is CEO Armin Gauselmann. “Demographic change and the shortage of skilled workers are presenting companies with new challenges. In the Gauselmann Group, we have already been focusing on employee development and further training opportunities for many years, as we see them as an ideal instrument for employee retention. With the Gauselmann Institute, this is now being institutionalized even further,” explained Armin Gauselmann.

In the stylish ambience of the over 500-year-old Benkhausen Castle, one of the few remaining historical buildings of Westphalian cultural history, FHDW lecturers are now regularly training employees of the Gauselmann Group. FHDW President Prof. Dr. Stefan Nieland explains: “The innovative Gauselmann Institute offers unique opportunities for the region and for the FHDW, as requirements from practice are taken up directly by science and further training programs for the employees of the Gauselmann Group in the region are created directly from this. These further education programs ideally complement the FHDW’s portfolio.”

A one-year training program for Gauselmann Group managers was launched in April 2017. The program is designed to enable participants to proactively tackle the challenges in their business area and strengthen the foundations for sustainable corporate development. The program focuses on management, marketing and intercultural communication.

Qualification offensive of the Kolping Education Center

How do you make employees who work in social work and have been trained for it fit for management tasks? An exciting challenge for everyone involved.

Since May 2017, the FHDW has been running a management training program for the Kolping Bildungswerk in Paderborn as part of its internal qualification offensive. The particular advantage of this concept is that the entire course can be individually tailored to the specific requirements and needs of the respective company and students. The FHDW will thus become even more active as an educational service provider at company level. An offer that may also be of interest to you.
