Cooperation with legitimis

legitimis has been developing solutions for operational data protection and information security in companies since 2010. This requires comprehensive inventory analyses in which the tasks, work processes, customer and supplier relationships and the customer’s IT equipment are recorded. On this basis, individual packages of measures for data protection and information security are developed, which are then implemented and documented. Additional, ongoing advice may also be required. These challenging and varied tasks require employees with legal as well as technical and administrative qualifications.

legitimis is present at several locations throughout Germany as well as in the USA and primarily supports medium-sized companies, but also international corporations, in all tasks relating to operational data protection. The company is based in Bergisch Gladbach near Cologne.

Dual study program at legitimis

legitimis offers together with the FHDW in Bergisch Gladbach the Bachelor programs Business Administration and Business Informatics programs. During the practical phases of the dual study program, students will get to know all relevant departments at legitimis and gain experience. Depending on the chosen study objective, they will work in the areas of sales, marketing, back office, commercial support and administration. When working on projects for customers, they will be involved in legitimis’ operational business.

Services for the students

legitimis covers the tuition fees and pays a monthly allowance of € 450. In addition, an apartment can be provided for a fee if required.
If the students have regular customer contact during the practical phases, they are given a mobile computer.
Coffee, water and fruit are provided during working hours. Students take part in various company events.
After consultation with the management, sufficient time is granted for the thesis during working hours.
After successful completion, it is possible to transfer to a part-time Master’s program.
