Cooperation with IANUS
As a spin-off of TU Dortmund University, IANUS has been offering simulations of flow processes in the plastics, rubber, pharmaceutical and food industries since 2006. This is made possible by the Extrud3D software developed in-house, which calculates difficult flows in complex machines and apparatus. In particular, plastics processing processes in extruders and extrusion tools can be studied efficiently and with high resolution. Other applications include pump systems, agitators, mixers, heat exchangers and cooling heads. Customers can use the simulations both as a service and as an individualized software solution.

IANUS develops and improves its own cloud-based web application StrömungsRaum. It makes it easy to define and start a comprehensive 3D CFD flow simulation via a web browser. And this can be done by any employee in the company, because StrömungsRaum requires no special prior knowledge of how to use it. Complex physical processes become accessible to everyone. This enables companies to improve their production facilities and products.
Development opportunities for students
At the interface between development and customer orientation, IANUS Simulation GmbH trains young, enthusiastic talents in the dual study programs business administration and business informatics in cooperation with the FHDW Campus Bielefeld from. The IANUS location in Bielefeld is just a two-minute walk from the FHDW. There is also a lively exchange with the location in Dortmund.
