Who is Lucom?
Lucom GmbH is a colorful bunch – as it says about itself – driven by the passion to develop smart IT applications that inspire them and their customers. Lucom has been around since 1994 and since then the experienced consultants and developers have successfully implemented numerous projects for a wide range of companies, institutions in the field of education and research as well as for public administration, both at the Erkrath headquarters and at the Dutch location in Groot-Ammers. At the heart of this is the Lucom Interaction Platform®, into which the employees enthusiastically incorporate all their ideas. They always keep an eye on current requirements and new technologies. And they also live for what they do, because for them Lucom is not just a company, but a feeling!
The Lucom feeling

What you will do during your practical phase at Lucom
Study Applied Computer Science or Business Informatics at the FHDW in Mettmann and complete the practical phases of the dual study program at Lucom. Every day is different here, but you can generally assume that …
- you don’t have to go through 20 instances, get the blood of a unicorn and steal Gollum’s ring to make a decision
- you will find your own workplace with the latest technology and smart processes in the beautiful Lucom castle (as well as small snacks and refreshments ;))
- on the one hand, you will of course receive support at all times, but on the other hand you will also take responsibility for your own projects
- you can be a human being at Lucom and are valued for all your qualities and ideas
- you have plenty of room to develop and create at Lucom (try yourself out and discover hidden talents!)
- you will come into contact with a wide variety of customers and find individual solutions for them together with Lucom
- at Lucom you can talk to other FHDW students and alumni not only about your exciting current project, but also about the upcoming exam
