Wortmann KG is a medium-sized family business with its headquarters in Detmold. With a sales volume of around 50 million pairs, Wortmann is one of the largest shoe production and distribution companies in Europe. The brands Tamaris, MARCO TOZZI, s.Oliver, Jana and Caprice, which belong to the Wortmann Group, form a broad brand portfolio.The company’s employees are a decisive key to success. The training of qualified junior staff has been an integral part of the company’s successful development for decades. Wortmann has been a partner company of the FHDW since 2010. Through the cooperation with the experienced university of applied sciences, Wortmann offers its junior staff a challenging and practice-oriented dual study program.
Dual study program at Wortmann
In cooperation with the FHDW, Wortmann KG offers the dual study programs Business administration, specializing in online marketing and e-commerceand Business Informatics, specializing in Cyber Securityspecialization. In both courses, students gain a comprehensive insight into the company during their practical phases and are integrated into operational processes. In the Business Administration course, they get to know all core areas of the company during their practical phases, but focus on the areas of online marketing and e-commerce. The business IT specialists work predominantly in collaboration with the IT department, but also get a taste of other areas in order to gain an overall understanding of the company.
