The family-run Romantik Hotel-Restaurant Altenberger Hof is located against the impressive backdrop of Altenberg Cathedral, surrounded by beautiful forests, and combines a historic ambience with modern elegance. The small hotel has a total of 39 rooms. The Altenberger Hof restaurant with its large outdoor terrace is also part of the hotel. Guests can also use four function rooms for conferences and private celebrations.
The young and dynamic team welcomes guests in a stylish yet informal atmosphere and ensures that no wishes remain unfulfilled – true to the motto: “There’s no such thing as impossible. Only miracles take a little longer”.
What does the hotel offer students?
Students at the FHDW in Bergisch Gladbach gain comprehensive insights into all departments of the hotel. In areas such as housekeeping, kitchen, service and front office, they acquire basic skills that are essential for a successful career in the hotel industry. Particular emphasis is placed on combining theory with practice. After the basics have been covered, the hotel offers students the opportunity to support the event management and sales departments. Finally, accounting provides a practical approach to the world of figures, making the differences between theory and application clear.
Altenberger Hof covers the monthly tuition fees and the one-off examination fees and also pays a salary, which is agreed in a personal interview. You are also welcome to attend an introductory day in advance so that you are sure you have found the right house.
