Cooperation with HDI

The Talanx Group operates very successfully as a multi-brand provider in the insurance and financial services sector. At the top is Talanx AG, which assumes the tasks of a management and financial holding company within the Group, but is not itself active in the insurance business. The Talanx Group includes HDI and HDI-Gobal, Hannover Re, neue leben, PB and TARGO Versicherungen as well as Ampega. Based in Hanover, the Group employs around 22,000 people and is active in around 150 countries.

The dual study program at HDI AG

Insurance products cannot be presented without a large number of IT programs and their diverse interfaces. In the Talanx Group, you will enjoy a qualified training program consisting of the theoretical part at the FHDW and the practical part, the work in the company. In this way, you will be professionally prepared for your future professional life.

The dual study program alternates between theoretical and practical phases. At the FHDW in Bergisch Gladbach and in Paderborn, you will acquire theoretical business knowledge in the dual study programme in Business Informatics, specializing in Data Science, and familiarize yourself with the various aspects of computer science (including programming). You will complete the practical phases at HDI, where you will be involved in IT projects, among other things. HDI also offers a dual study programme in business administration, specializing in financial sales, at the FHDW in Mettmann. You will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. During the practical phases, you will get to know the many different business and insurance-related areas of the Group. This also includes international fields of activity and strategic corporate developments.

The course is unrivaled due to its brevity, but it is also very demanding. In return, you will have the opportunity to recommend yourself for an equally demanding job afterwards.

Practical orientation

During the practical phases, we learn directly on the job. Of course, there are other internal training courses, but there are no long theoretical phases without practical relevance. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects right from the start. This gives you the opportunity to apply the knowledge you have acquired directly in practice.
