BARMER’s IT department is responsible for the further development and operation of software for thousands of employees, the customer portals for around nine million insured persons and programs for exchanging large amounts of billing data with a large number of partners in the healthcare sector, such as hospitals, doctors and pharmacies. Cooperation with the FHDW
Together with the FHDW, BARMER IT is looking for committed, curious and flexible junior staff for the Bergisch Gladbach location for a dual Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics with the specializations data science, IT consulting and software engineering.
Training and study focus
In the dual study program, you will learn the theoretical basics, which you will apply and test in practice at BARMER. Depending on the focus of your studies and assignment (e.g. development or consulting), you will work together with your colleagues on various topics and projects. The focus areas within BARMER IT are diverse. Your interests and ideas will be clarified in an individual discussion and exciting tasks will be sought together.
Your task could be, for example, to develop and establish architectures in the software and infrastructure environment based on the latest technologies. Or you could develop and implement operating models and individual software solutions. The development of mobile apps, taking into account UX and UI, could be another field of activity.
Through your work, you will gain insights into agile projects and acquire a comprehensive set of methods. As part of your tasks, you will develop your presentation and communication skills and learn how to work in a team.
