I am
… I am convinced that the ability to work with technology is a key skill for the future and I am therefore passionately committed to making programming attractive at school.
That’s why I like to go where innovation is happening to make my teaching as interesting and up-to-date as possible.

I am enthusiastic about computers, software, their creation and further development. How far will development go and how can Germany hold its own?

My role
In December 2019, I was elected to the Executive Board of the FHDW as Vice President for Digitalization. In doing so, the university is once again emphasizing the importance of digitalization as a strategic task for the university. This is because digitalization is changing teaching, learning and research at the university as well as its infrastructure, administration and processes. In my role as Vice President for Digitalization, I drive the transformation of the university and accompany the digital change towards a digital university. I see digitalization as an opportunity and not just as a necessity for fulfilling core university tasks.
I have also been head of our campus in Bergisch Gladbach since 2015, having been appointed as a lecturer in business informatics at the FHDW in 2011. In addition to further developing the campus and the FHDW’s study programs, I supervise our partner companies on campus as part of the dual study program and give lectures in business informatics.
