The advantages of dual study at the FHDW

The FHDW develops its content with experts from the business world. This is how we guarantee the practical relevance of your studies. In our dual study model, the involvement of companies offers you valuable practical experience and a direct transfer of knowledge. There is also the option of partial or full funding by the partner company.

In the dual bachelor’s degree program in International Business and Digital Management, 4 semesters center around practical experience in a company. This aspect is a mandatory component of our study program structure. You can however decide whether you want to

The FHDW has both large corporations and small and medium-sized companies in its partner network and will be happy to support you in finding one or more internship partners. Of course, you can also suggest a company that is not part of the FHDW network.

Fully financed studies, partial financing or self-financing

Many of the partner organizations working with the FHDW fully or partially finance the students for the entirety of their bachelor study program. The available positions are however limited and so similar to the application process for a position at the FHDW, students must also apply to be chosen and supported by these organizations. As a rule, the companies cover the tuition and examination fees in full. Some organizations also offer a salary, in addition to covering said fees.

Of course, we also offer you the option of financing the dual bachelor’s degree program yourself: In this case you pay a monthly fee of 670 Euros as well as a one-off examination fee of 1,500 Euros. You are still required to complete the internship phases of the program with an organization.

Organization and curriculum

The dual bachelor’s degree program in International Business and Digital Management provides you with a comprehensive understanding of international business models and digital management. You will also acquire important methods and skills that you can directly apply during the practical elements of your study program.

This is because half of the second, third and fifth semesters are spent at your partner company. In fact, the fourth semester is spent completely within the partner organization. Overall, your studies will therefore consist equally of theoretical and practical elements.
